You should call this helpline to report a change in your circumstances which will affect your tax credits, for example: a change in relationship status, a child leaves home or leaves education/training, working hours fall below 30 hours per week, or if your income goes up by more than £2500. This helpline is open 8am-8pm Monday-Friday and 8am-4pm Saturdays, and is closed on Sundays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Calls to 0345 phone numbers are charged at standard UK local rates from BT landlines, therefore calls will cost up to 12p per minute plus an additional call access charge. Additionally please note that the calls to the alternative helpline 0870 042 0481 are charged at a flat rate of 13p per minute from landline phones.
